I grew up with horses. You are right about them being more nervous than cattle, but you have to know the horses and they get to know you after a time. Then they can show many different moods. Some of them can be most friendly and even a bit silly. I got to know a horse named Nancy who always checked out my pockets to see if I was carrying bread. She loved the stuff, and I did bring her a piece from time to time.
