And to think - I didn't really want to leave the house at all ... and then I didn't want to take a camera with me ... it's simply too cold and too grey and too much autumn for my taste ;-)
I just did some research (aka googled): in 1994 a group of "Carneval candy and costumes" industry lobbyists thought about new ways to sell candy and costumes outside the carnival season in Germany and decided to force Halloween promotion. No kidding. In 2009 the group announced a total revenue of 30 Million Euro in the Halloween market segment.
